As close to dead level as the ground allows. Water sits perfectly flat, so any slope shows up as a gap along the rim that everyone will notice. If your pool company gives you a spec, send it over.
How big should the pad be?
Bigger than the tank. A little extra room gives you space for a rock ring and a clean edge where the pad meets the grass. We size it off the tank your installer is bringing.
Can you level a yard that slopes?
Yes. Sloped yards are common around here, and they just take more cutting and filling to get flat. The steeper the grade, the more material has to move, and we’ll walk you through that before we start.
