Questions
Kyle lawn care questions
How often should my lawn be mowed in Kyle?
Growth decides it, not the calendar. From spring through summer a Kyle lawn usually needs a weekly cut to stay inside the one-third rule. When growth slows down in fall, we can talk about adjusting the schedule.
How short should St. Augustine grass be cut?
Keep it tall. St. Augustine does best left around three inches or more, which shades the soil and holds moisture through a Central Texas summer. Bermuda and zoysia can go shorter. We set the mower for the grass you actually have.
Should I bag my grass clippings?
Usually not. Clippings left on a healthy lawn break down fast and feed the soil. Leaves are a different story. A thick layer blocks sun from the grass, so that should come off.
What if my yard is overgrown right now?
Call anyway. Cutting a tall lawn down all at once can scalp it and leave it brown for weeks, so the first visit may take it down in steps. After that, a regular schedule keeps it from getting away again.
